  • How do we collect Personal Information? STUDY IN AUSTRALIA (SIA) will from time to time, receive and store personal information. This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including interviews, correspondence by telephone/email/site visit, via our website www.siaconsultant.com, via our mobile app available on Play Store and App Store, customer forms, via media, publications and marketing promotions, via other publicly available sources, cookies, feedback forms, via payment processing, any other interaction with us and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policies of authorized third parties
  • Why do we collect Personal Information? We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to you, enabling us to send you updates or for marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing

We may also collect additional data, including (but not limited to) career profile, Resume/CV, Employment documents, education documents, test results, service and marketing preferences, insurance documents, bank statements and any other data that we feel is needed to enable us to provide our primary and secondary products and services in the best possible manner to our users/customers.

  • STUDY IN AUSTRALIA (SIA) is committed to ensuring that the information you provide to us is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, storage, handling and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure information and protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorized access, modification and disclosure. When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.
Access to your personal information
  • You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions as per the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988(Cth). If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing. SIA will not charge any fee for your access request but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information. If you would like a copy of the information which we hold about you or believe that any information we hold on you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, please email us at [email protected]. In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

    When you visit the mobile application, we may use GPS technology (or other similar technology) to determine your current location in order to determine the city you are located within and display a location map with relevant search results. We will not share your current location with other users or partners.
